also takes place on the Ocoee River, but on the lower,
milder section. The water is calm here due to the limited
drop in overall elevation. The
Lower Ocoee begins in Mikkedgeville Georgia, and features two drops that create
some Class II rapids. Tubing on the river will be a day of
relaxation. The water temperatures are relatively warm
during the entire season, making for a great escape from the
blistering sun. When the water is high the river makes for a
great play area, so you might see paddlers on the river as
well.
